About Me

Cinna Boyle is a born and raised Montana girl who loves to spend time outside, whether it be on the river, in the mountains or on the porch enjoying the Montana landscape. Cinna received her bachelor’s in Art Education K-12 Broadfield from Montana State University, which led her to teach Art and Outdoor Rec at a therapeutic boarding school in the Mission Mountains. It was this experience that led her to pursue a master’s that would allow her to work with clients in a more clinical manner through the use of art, Dialectical Behavior Therapy, Motivational Interviewing and Cognitive Behavioral Therapy approaches. After attending the University of Montana, she was able to get licensed as an Addiction Counselor in Montana and served the communities in southeastern Montana where she was able to assist in implementing telemed services that allowed folx in more rural areas to attend treatment for substance abuse and co-occurring mental health needs while remaining in their communities and with their families when able. Cinna then returned to the western side of the state and was able to work with the community to grow the adolescent outpatient program significantly and ultimately led to her becoming the Program Manager and lead clinician for the adolescent inpatient program in that area for several years. Cinna moved to New Mexico to pursue her dreams of being a formally trained Art Therapist. Cinna received a dual masters in Art Therapy/Counseling from Southwestern College in Santa Fe, NM and remained in the community for several years as a clinician and manager of the Special Victims Unit/Family Advocacy Dept where she gained a unique and extensive understanding of what families and survivors of sexual violence, domestic violence, chronic abuse and human trafficking navigate both for their own healing and within the criminal justice system and general communities. She worked with 5 corrections facilities in the area as the PREA coordinator, working with incarcerated survivors of sexual assault, as well as providing trainings to staff and mental health providers alike on how to be trauma-informed in their daily engagements in order to work at challenging the trauma of being involved in systems and promote well-being and true healing collectively. When not at the office, Cinna can be found wandering the back country of SW Montana with her two dogs and finding adventure with loved ones.
